About the Art:

I received realistic style training in drawing and painting in China before I immigrated to the United States. That’s one of reasons of that many of my drawings almost look like photographs. In order to give life to the figure, I feel it’s important to create a realistic visual realistic quality so that person in my art pieces can gaze back at the viewer. some people may call them “photo-realism.” I only do this for humans; it is not the case in my other works like landscapes and animals paintings, where my goals are very different. I also like to work in quite a few different styles to exercise different artistic skills and effects.
