World Forestry Center, Miller Hall

2013 Guest Artist Jury - CALL FOR ARTISTS

Since the first Local 14 show in 1968 invited guest artists have been an integral and important part of each show. Local 14's mission is to promote both professional as well as emerging artists to the public. Each year approximately 45 guests are invited to participate in the show as well as in the camaraderie of women artists.

LOCAL 14 members and guest artists work together to produce the annual show. New friendships are created and old friendships renewed as women artists come together for the four day event.

Guests artists have a variety of ways to meet each other and member artists. Each guest artist is required to work nine hours during the show choosing from an assortment of tasks. Guests are invited to an evening event where the LOCAL 14 members provide a meeting to answer any questions about the upcoming show, dinner prepared by member artists, website-based show of all artists work, and an opportunity to relax and have some fun.
